CTQ (Critical to Quality)

Six Sigma

Specific, measurable characteristics that directly impact customer satisfaction. CTQs translate broad customer requirements (Voice of Customer) into concrete specifications that can be measured and controlled. Example: Customer wants 'fast delivery' translates to CTQ of '95% of orders ship within 24 hours.' Used in Six Sigma DMAIC Define phase to ensure improvement efforts focus on what truly matters to customers.
