Histogram

Bar chart that displays the distribution of numerical data by grouping values into bins or ranges, showing frequency on the vertical axis. One of the 7 QC Tools. Reveals the shape of data distribution (normal, skewed, bimodal), central tendency, and spread. Helps identify whether process output is centered on target and how much variation exists. Used in Six Sigma Measure phase to understand baseline performance and in A3 to visualize current condition. Different from Pareto Chart which ranks categories by impact, histogram shows frequency distribution of continuous data.
