7 QC Tools

Simple data collection form designed to systematically record the frequency or occurrence of specific events, defects, or observations. One of the 7 QC Tools. Structures data gathering to reduce errors and make patterns visible. Common types include defect location check sheets, frequency check sheets, and checklist-style forms. Used in DMAIC Measure phase, 8D problem description, and A3 current condition analysis. Converts subjective observations into objective data. Example: tracking defect types by shift, location, or product line.
